My Story.

I was a Lady Rebel Basketball player for Ole Miss before taking my talent to Europe for a two-year career as a professional athlete. After retiring from professional athletics, I entered the corporate world with Merrill Lynch as a registered financial advisor to several professional athletes. As a financial manager, I quickly found myself managing their other non-sport and non-financial needs - such as personnel management, branding and marketing, community event planning, PR, and post-sport transition preparation. So, I founded The Athlete's Nexus, where I began offering services such as strategic branding, business management, and professional development. Today, I am considered a thought leader at the of global sports, business, and education.

As a woman in sports, I have made many notable contributions to the sports industry. In addition to co-founding an international sports summit - the Athletes Abroad Summit - I have also co-executive produced an award-winning international sports documentary entitled Ballin' Abroad. My programs are administered across the U.S. to teens and student-athletes, and I have had the honor of being recognized internationally. A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, I am honored to fulfill my philanthropic passions through service to the Ole Miss Alumni Board of Directors, Main Street Association West Memphis Board of Directors, and DeltaArts Board of Directors. In addition, I also lead the Dr. Tywanna Inmon-Smith Scholarship  Fund. I hope to continue changing the game - one athlete at a time!
